It was a joy and a privilege to spend a wonderful few days in Jersey, culminating in a super performance at the Jersey Arts Centre to a terrific crowd. It was great to bring so much of our material premiered in London to this new audience, and from the number of people singing along with us to their favourite songs in ’31 West End Musicals In Under 10 Minutes’ it certainly seemed like this was an audience that knew its musicals!
Our thanks to Tony Gillham, Charlie McArdle and their teams at BBC Radio Jersey for making us feel so welcome when we dropped in to the studio for a chat with them on the air. It was also great to hear Charlie interviewing our sound man extraordinaire Adrian Cobey about his careers both on and off the stage in his former life as the leading man in the West End production of Buddy, and now as the Head of Sound at Les Miserables. Thanks also to the fantastic crew at ITV Channel Island News, for whom we performed ‘6 Musicals In 90 Seconds’ … a first for Jersey, it seems!
